Amman, Jan. 11 (Petra) -- His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Football Association, on Sunday checked on the players of the national U-23 Olympic team ahead of their match against Kyrgyzstan in the AFC U-23 Championship, currently being held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Prince Ali held a phone call with the national team’s head coach, Omar Najhi, and the players, during which he commended their efforts and preparations ahead of the decisive fixture.

For their part, the coach and players expressed appreciation for Prince Ali’s support and close follow-up, noting that his encouragement serves as a key motivator and boosts team morale as they continue to pursue positive results.

The Olympic team is set to face Kyrgyzstan on Monday in the third and final round of the tournament’s first stage, with the outcome determining qualification to the next round.
