  16/ Jordan, South Korea Discuss Parliamentary, Economic Cooperation

Amman, Jan. 13 (Petra) -- Speaker of the Lower House Mazen Qadi received a delegation from the National Assembly of South Korea headed by Chair of the Korean-Jordanian Friendship Committee MP Cho Eun-hee. The meeting discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly parliamentary cooperation.

Qadi underscored Jordan’s commitment to bolstering relations, with a focus on economic cooperation, trade exchange, and benefiting from Korean expertise in artificial intelligence.

He also praised South Korea’s supportive stance toward Jordan, noting that the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, remains an oasis of security and stability in a turbulent region, consistently advocating dialogue as a pathway to resolving crises and dedicating its efforts to regional security and stability.

For her part, MP Cho stressed the importance of Jordan’s role in pursuing peace in the region and globally, saying Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, has taken positions that are respected worldwide in defense of humanity.

She said her country is keen to expand cooperation with Jordan across multiple tracks, especially parliamentary engagement, and pointed to opportunities that could be leveraged to advance the interests of the two peoples.
