39/ Jordan Airports Operating Normally Despite Weather System, Says CARC Chief
Amman, Jan. 13 (Petra) - Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), Captain Dhaifallah Farajat, said air navigation at the Kingdom’s airports has been operating normally and regularly since the morning hours, despite the region being affected by the prevailing weather depression. Farajat explained that operational activities at the various airports have not recorded any significant delays or cancelations, as flights, whether arriving or departing, have continued to operate according to approved schedules with high smoothness. He pointed to the high level of readiness of technical and operational staff and their ability to efficiently deal with changing weather conditions, noting that daily air traffic at Jordanian airports exceeds 240 arriving and departing flights to regional and international destinations, transporting more than 26,000 arriving and departing passengers through the Kingdom’s airports. Farajat stressed that the approved plans for dealing with different weather conditions ensure continuity of operations and passenger safety, alongside close monitoring of weather updates and continuous coordination with relevant authorities, in line with the highest international safety standards. //Petra// AF
