New York, Jan. 22 (Petra) -- The UN Security Council is scheduled to convene on Thursday for a meeting on Syria, followed by closed-door consultations.

The Council’s monthly agenda indicated that discussions will focus on the current political situation and humanitarian conditions in the country.
