Amman, Jan. 25 (Petra) -- Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Sunday received Saudi Ambassador to Jordan Prince Mansour bin Khalid Al Saud at the General Command headquarters of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the importance of relations and joint cooperation avenues to serve interests of the two countries' armed forces.

Reviewing the latest regional and international developments, they stressed the need to orchestrate international efforts to achieve the region's peace and stability.

The Saudi ambassador expressed appreciation for Jordan’s "pivotal" role, under His Majesty King Abdullah II's leadership, in supporting regional security and peace.

A number of senior JAF officers and the Saudi military attaché in Amman attended the meeting.
