Amman, Jan. 25 (Petra) - The Countryside and Badia Parliamentary Committee said that the royal directives concerning the restructuring of the Arab Army carry a sharp and clear strategic vision aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the armed forces, protecting the homeland, and safeguarding its achievements under all circumstances.

In a statement issued Sunday, the committee affirmed that these directives reflect the keenness of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to develop the Arab Army and raise its efficiency and readiness in line with regional and international challenges and changes, ensuring the army continues to perform its national and humanitarian role effectively and competently.

The statement noted that the Jordan Armed Forces constitute a safety valve for the country and that the restructuring process is part of a thoughtful institutional approach that strengthens the state’s resilience and preserves its stability. It added that the royal directives confirm the army’s position as a fundamental pillar of the Jordanian state.

The committee emphasized that Jordanians have full confidence in their army and its Hashemite leadership and that this strategic vision will positively impact the nation’s security and future.
