17/ Digital Skills Program Empowers Jordanian Youth in 2025
Amman, Jan. 26 (Petra) -- The Digital Skills for a Better Future program continued in 2025 to equip young men and women in Jordan with digital skills that are aligned with labor market needs, under a partnership between Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) Jordan, UNICEF, and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship. Some 2,253 young people completed training last year in core digital skills, e-commerce website design, graphic design, social media management, Python programming, full-stack web development, and mobile application development, according to a press release by Dot Jordan. Dot Jordan Director Hamza Shraideh said the program reflects the organization’s commitment to developing digital initiatives that directly respond to youth needs and labor market demands. He said the partnership with UNICEF and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship was instrumental in expanding the program’s reach and ensuring access for youth across governorates and refugee camps. Shraideh noted that the focus on digital skills, employability, and inclusion has enabled young people to actively participate in the digital economy and contribute to long-term economic development. //Petra// NQ
