15/ Jordan condemns repeated Israeli violations of Gaza ceasefire
Amman, January 31 (Petra) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Saturday condemned Israel's repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, the latest of which resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries. The Ministry said these actions constitute a blatant breach of the ceasefire and a dangerous escalation that undermines regional and international efforts to achieve security and stability in Gaza. Ministry spokesperson Fouad Majali affirmed Jordan's rejection and strong condemnation of the Israeli violations. He called for adhering to the ceasefire agreement and implementation of its provisions in line with the plan of US President Donald Trump and UN Security Council Resolution 2803. Majali urged ensuring the immediate, adequate and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, as well as proceeding with the implementation of the agreement's second phase. He called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities and ensure Israel's compliance with the ceasefire agreement. He further called for avoiding actions that could undermine de-escalation efforts and to move toward a clear political horizon that realises an independent and sovereign Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution, relevant international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative. //Petra// AK
