26/ Jerash University, Malaysian USIM Sign Academic Cooperation Letter
Jerash, July 12 (Petra) -- Jerash University and the Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) signed a letter of intent on Sunday to establish a framework for academic cooperation and expand collaboration in education, research, and student and faculty exchanges. The letter was signed by Jerash University President Mohammad Khalayleh and Sulaiman bin Ismail, director of the Institute of Arabic Language Studies at the USIM, who headed a delegation from Malaysia's Ministry of Higher Education. According to a university statement, the two sides discussed cooperation in academic programs, scientific research, faculty and student exchanges, as well as joint training programs and scientific activities aimed at enhancing educational outcomes and strengthening international partnerships. Talking at the signing ceremony, Khalayleh said the university is committed to expanding partnerships with leading regional and international higher education institutions. He noted cooperation with Malaysian universities aligns with its vision of benefiting from advanced educational experiences while creating new opportunities for students and faculty members in teaching, research, and academic exchange. Bin Ismail, in turn, expressed the Malaysian side's commitment to building an effective academic partnership with Jerash University that serves the interests of both institutions and broadens cooperation across academic fields. The letter of intent outlines mutual intention to develop joint academic and student initiatives, promote exchange of expertise and academic visits, and pave the way for signing a memorandum of understanding setting out the implementation framework and terms governing future cooperation. //Petra// NQ
