Amman, July 12 (Petra) -- Kuwait's Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday that three northern overland border posts were subjected to a hostile attack, resulting in material damage.

According to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Staff Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan, stated that an offshore drilling rig belonging to the Kuwait Oil Company, located within Kuwaiti territorial waters, was targeted by a hostile drone. The strike caused material damage and injured one worker.

Al-Atwan added that competent authorities immediately initiated the necessary procedures to handle the incident in full coordination with relevant agencies.
