13/ Cyber Security Center Partners with Social Security to Launch Digital Counter-Fraud Campaign

Amman, July 13, (Petra) – The National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) has teamed up with the Social Security Corporation (SSC) to roll out a joint public awareness campaign under the banner "Know to Protect Yourself."

The targeted campaign is designed to sharpen public defenses against digital identity theft and train citizens to spot the difference between legitimate government platforms and lookalike pages impersonating the SSC.

This joint offensive comes in response to a rise in online scams that illegally hijack official state logos and institutional branding. Both entities are urging the public to source all information and digital transactions exclusively from verified government portals, warning against engagement with suspicious accounts whose sole purpose is to misdirect users or harvest private data.

Central to the campaign is a digital literacy push detailing the SSC's verified web links and official communication streams as the only authoritative sources for benefits, news, and services. The initiative explicitly outlines the dangers of sharing personal data or interacting with copycat accounts, cutting off avenues for fraudsters looking to exploit unsuspecting citizens.

To maximize public reach, the security alerts and educational content will be heavily distributed across the website networks and social media feeds of both organizations. In a move to ensure complete accessibility, all campaign media will feature integrated sign language translation to deliver these vital security warnings to the hearing-impaired community.
