Amman, July 16 (Petra) --Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) closed on Thursday at a turnover of JD12.6 million after 6.2 million shares changed hands in 4,328 transactions.

The ASE general index rose 0.45 percent to close at 3,920 points, against the previous session.

Of the 95 listed companies traded, share prices of 34 advanced, while 17 others declined, compared with their earlier performance levels.

By sector, the industrial and financial indexes gained 0.67% and 0.62%, while the services benchmark slipped 0.14%.
