44/ Deputizing for Crown Prince, Youth Minister launches Al Hussein Camps

Al-Qadisiyah, June 29 (Petra)-- Deputizing for HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, Minister of Youth Raed Adwan launched the Al-Hussein Camps for Work and Construction 2026 on Monday.

Organized by the Ministry of Youth under the slogan "Independence 80," this year's summer program will engage over 32,000 young men and women across the kingdom.

The opening ceremony, held at the Al-Qadisiyah Youth Hostel in the Tafileh Governorate, was attended by senior governorate, security, and civil society officials.

The event featured the inauguration of a new adventure and obstacle field at the Al-Qadisiyah facility, designed to provide specialized tactical training, abseiling, and physical fitness challenges aimed at fostering leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills among participants. Al-Adwan toured various training stations, which included demonstrations in taekwondo, boxing, self-defense, first aid, and scouting techniques.

Running from June 27 to August 27, the program will span 978 individual camps tailored for youth aged 12 to 30. Executed in partnership with national, security, and international organizations, the curriculum offers both daytime and overnight formats.

Day camps hosted at local youth centers will focus on community service, environmental volunteerism, traffic awareness, scouting, national history narrative, disaster response training, and community mural creation.
The central overnight camps will offer specialized training in community initiative design, digital entrepreneurship, cultural tourism trails, adventure challenges, mental health awareness, and peacebuilding partnerships.

For the first time, the Ministry of Youth has introduced a dedicated camp track for expatriate Jordanian youth visiting the kingdom during the summer, aiming to strengthen their ties to their homeland and integrate them into national youth development projects.
