Amman, June 29 (Petra) -- An all-Jordanian refereeing crew led by international referee Adham Makhadmeh has been selected to officiate the upcoming match between England and the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the Round of 32 at the 2026 World Cup.

Makhadmeh will be assisted by linesmen Mohammad Bakkar and Ahmad Al Roalle for Wednesday's knockout fixture, which will be held at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, United States. Both teams are competing for a qualification spot in the tournament's Round of 16.

The selection of the Jordanian trio reflects the growing profile of Jordan's football officiating program on the global stage and highlights the continued confidence of world football's governing body, FIFA, in Jordanian referees.
