24/ UAE Federal National Council condemns Iranian attacks
Abu Dhabi, March 4 (Petra) – The United Arab Emirates Federal National Council on Wednesday strongly condemned Iranian attacks on the UAE, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, and Jordan as "a flagrant violation of state sovereignty, the international law and the UN Charter, and a direct threat to regional security and stability." In a statement, the council reiterated that "targeting the UAE under any pretext is an act of aggression that is completely unacceptable, unjustifiable, and cannot be tolerated or treated as a passing incident." The sovereignty of the state, safeguarding its national security, and the protection of its land, airspace, and territorial waters is a red line and a responsibility that cannot be compromised or tested, it added. The Council expressed its full solidarity with brotherly countries targeted by the attacks, and stressed that the security of the GCC states is indivisible, and that any breach of the sovereignty of any member state is a breach of the security and stability of the entire region. The Council, as the representative of UAE people, said it fully supports the leadership and institutions of the country and all measures taken to defend its sovereignty, security, and national stability. It also commended the UAE government's transparent, clear, and firm statements declaring the country's categorical rejection of the use of its land, airspace, or territorial waters for any military action, while simultaneously reserving its full and legitimate right to self-defense in accordance with international law. //Petra//SS
