25/ GAM: Workers conclude vocational training within Amman Day celebrations
Amman, Mar. 4 (Petra) –City Director at Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) Nabil Jariri stated the municipality offers training programs that reflect its plans for administrative and economic modernization in the Kingdom. Jariri's remarks came while patronizing the graduation ceremony for trainers in a range of professional positions, held Wednesday as part of the GAM's City Day celebrations, which fall on March 2 annually. Talking at the closing ceremony, Jariri noted the program focuses on promoting vocational and technical education and supplying the national economy with qualified workers. The program, he noted, reflects the municipality's commitment to developing skills of its workforce to improve the level of services provided to the city of Amman and its residents. These programs come within the municipality's ongoing efforts to develop professional and technical staff and raise their career competency. The sessions, delivered by GAM trainers, comprised 6 training days, as 2 days were dedicated to theoretical aspects, and 4 others focused on practical application across a range of professional roles. The activities aimed to acquire skills for road construction, infrastructure renovation, urban planning, sewage systems, and other development activities. Upon completion, the trainees received training certificates. Concluding the ceremony, Jariri handed over the certificates to the participating employees in recognition of their commitment and successful completion of the training program requirements. //Petra// AG
