21/ FM, Czech Counterpart Discuss Ties, Regional Tensions

Amman, March 5 (Petra) -- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on Thursday received a phone call from Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka, during which the duo discussed the region's dangerous escalation and its impact on regional and international security and stability.

Safadi and Macinka reviewed prospects for ending the crisis, restoring calm, de-escalating tensions, and pursuing dialogue as the path to resolving conflicts.

According to a Foreign Ministry statement, the two ministers also affirmed the importance of the bilateral relations, as Matcinka condemned the Iranian attacks on Jordan and several Arab countries, expressing solidarity with the Kingdom in confronting these attacks.

Safadi, in turn, stressed Jordan’s keenness to work with Macinka, who assumed office in December, to expand joint cooperation across various fields, also congratulating Macinka on his new post.
