Petra, March 7 (Petra) – The Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority, in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, on Saturday illuminated in blue the Treasury monument in the ancient city, joining an Interpol-led international campaign to honor police officers who fell in the line of duty.

The move is to mark the International Day of Remembrance for Fallen Officers, which is observed annually on March 7th to honor police officers who lost their lives while on duty.

The occasion features global tributes, including lighting landmarks in blue, moments of silence, and flying flags at half-mast to recognize the fallen officers' ultimate sacrifice.
