  37/ Schools Suspended Across Karak Governorate on Thursday Due to Weather Conditions

Karak, March 25 (Petra) -- Director of the Karak Education Directorate, Nidal Al-Ftainat, in coordination with Karak Governor Qablan Al-Sharif, decided on Wednesday to suspend official working hours in all public and private schools under the directorate for Thursday.

Al-Ftainat said the decision comes in light of the prevailing weather conditions in the governorate and out of concern for student safety.

The Director of the Southern Mazar District Education Directorate, Ali Al-Fuqara, also decided, in coordination with the district administrator of Southern Mazar, Ismat Al-Qaraleh, and the district administrator of Moab, Iyad Al-Majali, on Wednesday, to suspend classes on Thursday in public and private schools.

Al-Fuqara said the decision was taken due to the prevailing weather conditions and to ensure the safety of students as well as administrative and teaching staff.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Qasr District Education Directorate, Zahira Bani Atiyah, in coordination with the district administrator of Qasr, Sufyan Al-Hajaya, and the district administrator of Faqou, Ali Al-Zaidan, decided on Wednesday to suspend classes in all public and private schools under her directorate for Thursday.

Bani Atiyah said the decision comes in light of the prevailing weather conditions in the area and out of concern for student safety.
