Amman, March 26 (Petra) -- The Northern Military Zone on Thursday thwarted an attempt to infiltrate the Kingdom's borders illegally on its northern front after two individuals tried to cross from Jordanian territory into Syria.

In a statement, the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army said border guard units detected the two individuals and applied the rules of engagement, which led to their arrest without injuries.

The two detainees were referred to the competent authorities for the necessary legal action.
