Amman, March 26 (Petra)-- Chairperson of the Board of Jordan Phosphate Mines Company, Mohammad Thneibat, accompanied by CEO Abdulwahab Rawad, conducted a field inspection of several company sites in Aqaba to assess operational readiness and workflow efficiency.

The tour, part of ongoing field visits aimed at monitoring performance, covered the company’s industrial complex in Aqaba, phosphate export terminal, industrial ports, and phosphoric acid storage facilities.

At the industrial complex, the delegation reviewed production processes in phosphoric acid and fertilizer units, and examined the readiness of storage facilities along with measures in place to ensure business continuity. This includes logistical alternatives and emergency response plans.

Thneibat emphasized the importance of ongoing efforts to develop storage infrastructure, highlighting its key role in absorbing logistical fluctuations and maintaining strategic reserves that support long-term export contracts.

The delegation also inspected loading and handling operations at the phosphate export terminal and industrial ports, commending the efficiency of infrastructure and operational capabilities, as well as adherence to public safety and environmental standards.

Thneibat stated that the ports demonstrate a high level of technical and logistical readiness to handle various conditions, reinforcing the reputation of Jordanian phosphate as a reliable partner in the global food security system.

He added that these field visits aim to address any obstacles that may affect operations, ensuring the company remains a model in strategic crisis management and in turning challenges into growth opportunities.

The chairperson further noted that the company continues to implement its operational plans efficiently, maintaining smooth production and export flows despite challenges affecting global supply chains and maritime navigation.

He stressed that securing these supply chains remains a top priority to ensure uninterrupted delivery of Jordanian products to international markets.

Thneibat affirmed that the company enjoys full operational readiness and operates under flexible strategic plans that ensure production efficiency and sustainable exports, underscoring the phosphate sector’s vital role in the national economy.

For his part, CEO Rawad highlighted that work teams continue to perform efficiently, supported by field-based monitoring plans that enhance responsiveness and improve overall performance.

During the visit, both officials received briefings from site managers, who confirmed that operations are proceeding according to established plans, with full preparedness to operate under current conditions.
