46/ Jordan, Gulf's security "inseparable", and we stand with King, army, says House Speaker
Amman, March 30 (Petra) -- Speaker of the Lower House Mazen Al-Qadi said that the visit of His Majesty King Abdullah II to Saudi Arabia and his meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reflect the importance of strengthening Arab coordination and joint action to confront the threats facing the region. Al-Qadi added that the meeting, which was followed by a trilateral summit with the Emir of Qatar, comes to reinforce a firm Jordanian position that the security of Jordan and the Gulf is inseparable and that any threat to an Arab state constitutes a direct threat to Arab national security as a whole. He said that Iranian attacks that targeted Jordan and Gulf Arab states constitute an infringement on the sovereignty of nations and must stop immediately, stressing that the Israeli expansionist project, which seeks to exploit the war to impose a new reality in Palestinian territories, requires joint action at all levels and the development of an Arab program to confront such risks. Al-Qadi affirmed the Lower House’s support for His Majesty King Abdullah II in his efforts to restore security and stability in the region, safeguard the sovereignty of Arab states, and enhance joint Arab action, stressing full support for the Jordan Armed Forces and security agencies in all measures they take to maintain security and stability and defend sovereignty. //Petra// AF
