49/ Jordan Draws 2-2 with Nigeria in Friendly Match During World Cup Preparations
Amman, March 31 (Petra) - The national football team drew 2-2 with Nigeria in a friendly match held as part of its training camp in Antalya, Turkiye, in preparation for its historic first participation in the 2026 World Cup finals. Jordan opened the scoring through Mousa Al-Taamari in the 17th minute, following an assist from Noor Al-Rawabdeh, before Nigeria equalized through Moses Simon in the 25th minute and took the lead with a goal from Emmanuel Fernandes in the 41st minute, ending the first half 2-1 in favor of Nigeria. Mohammad Rateb brought Jordan level in the second half, scoring the equalizer in the 77th minute after another assist from Al-Rawabdeh, with the match ending in a 2-2 draw.
