Amman, May 1 (Petra)-- Amid increased security measures by Israeli occupation forces at military checkpoints, throughout the city, and surrounding the Old City and the mosque compound, tens of thousands of worshipers performed Friday prayer at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

According to Palestinian media, occupation forces were stationed all over Jerusalem, constructed metal barriers at the gates of the Old City and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, stopped young men, checked their identification, detained some, and made others leave the area so they could not enter the mosque.
