2/ Jordan to see warm weather Saturday-JMD

Amman, May 2 (Petra) – The weather Saturday will be warm in most areas, and relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, as winds will be moderate northeasterly, shifting to northwesterly.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), the weather Sunday will be unstable. Light rain showers are forecast intermittently in sporadic areas of the Kingdom.

With active southwesterly winds, occasional strong gusts are set to hit some areas during the day, causing dust storms, mainly in the desert regions, which will reduce horizontal visibility.

On Monday, a noticeable drop in temperatures is expected, which will cause relatively cold weather in the mountainous areas and plains, and mild temperatures in other areas.

Light showers are forecast for parts of the Kingdom's northern and central regions, as winds will be active and westerly, with occasional strong gusts.

Today's maximum and minimum temperatures in Amman will range between 27 and 15 degrees Celsius, while the level in northern mountains will stand at 22-14C, the desert regions at 31-18C, and the Dead Sea at 34-21C. The Gulf of Aqaba will see a scorching 35C, dropping to 22C at night.
