Amman, May 18 (Petra) -- The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) closed Monday's trading with the general price index up 1.22%, at 3,983 points, and all three market sectors posting gains.

Turnover was at JD23.9 million, with 6.7 million shares changing hands across 5,642 transactions.

Of 106 companies, 41 recorded gains, while 27 declined, and the rest remained steady.

All sectors closed in positive territory, with services rising 1.38%, finance up by 1.26%, and industry up by 0.43%.
