4/ Cross-Terrain Endurance Trek Mobilizes National Trekking Assets Across Amman-Karak Corridor
Amman, May 18 (Petra) – The Jordan Voyagers team will execute an 80-kilometer ultra-endurance trekking deployment next Sunday evening, tracing a high-friction topographic corridor from the Al-Nashama Park in Marj Al-Hamam to the Karak Tourism Beach at the Dead Sea.
This athletic initiative is structurally aligned with the comprehensive nationwide civic celebrations commemorating the 80th Independence Day of the sovereign state.
The continuous, high-intensity transit operation is scheduled to commence at 17:00 hours, utilizing an absolute 24-hour tactical operational window to ensure completion prior to the evening of Independence Day.
The trekking cohort consists of 20 elite endurance participants drawn from core team members and auxiliary supporters, led by Team Captain Mahmoud Al-Athamneh, who will handle the national colors and institutional standard throughout the cross-terrain deployment.
Methodologically, the continuous long-distance trek is engineered to test human performance metrics under sustained physical strain, foster localized institutional models of collective operational cohesion, and advance ultra-endurance trekking cultures within the domestic sports sector.
Furthermore, the route provides significant cross-regional visibility, highlighting the diverse geological and geographic features separating the Amman metropolitan plateau from the low-lying coastal terrain of the Karak Governorate's Dead Sea basin.
