Amman, Sept. 28 (Petra) -- Al-Faisaly player Ahmad Al-Ersan has won the award for the best goal of Matchweek 1 in the AFC Champions League Two after topping the fans’ vote, which closed Monday.

Al-Ersan’s goal came from a direct free kick during Al-Faisaly’s opening-round match against Qatar’s Al-Rayyan.
Al-Hussein Irbid player Mahmoud Mardi was also among the nominees, with his goal coming in his team’s match against India’s East Bengal.

Al-Ersan secured the award after his strike received the highest number of votes in the poll launched by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
